CBI’s vision is to see the gospel of the glory of Christ cherished and proclaimed throughout Japan. Therefore we do not simply desire to see people grow in depth of understanding and appreciation of the gospel; we want to see Japanese Christians equipped to take the gospel to the furthest places where it is not yet known among the Japanese. We have done this by:
- Training ministers and aspiring ministers in evangelism, missions, church planting, and church revitalization, and encouraging them as they go out to places such as Okinawa (the southernmost islands), Aomori (the northernmost prefecture of the main island where few Christians are serving), and Toyama (by the Japan Sea where no one had planted a church for decades), etc.
- Training Christians to live out the gospel faithfully as they minister in diverse ways, including pastoral ministry, college outreach, youth discipleship, arts evangelism, Christian business entrepreneurship, and even politics.
- Distributing key gospel resources both digitally and in print for Japanese Christians to grow in discipleship all throughout Japan and across the world.
- Developing indigenously written and designed evangelistic resources to equip Japanese Christians to lead their friends and family to Christ.
- Constantly exploring new endeavors for discipleship and evangelism in Japan.
