The three-day conference “LOVE JAPAN” was held simultaneously in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka from October 11–13, 2014. The goal of the conference was to “enjoy God’s wonderful love together through meditation on the Word of God and worship.”
Lectures were given by seven speakers from four different countries: Japan, the United States, South Korea, and China. Michael Oh, founder of CBI and Global Executive Director/CEO of the Lausanne Movement, spoke on “Love for Neighbors.” John Piper and Don Carson spoke on “Love for Our God” and “Love from God,” respectively. Peter Chin (Chief Pastor of Global Mission Church) and Jeffoon Lee (Onnuri) gave a lecture entitled, “You were Born to be Loved.” Kenichi Shinagawa, president of the Japan Evangelical Association (JEA), spoke on “Love for the Cross.” Jet Li, chief pastor at a church in Beijing, gave a lecture entitled, “Love and Suffering.”
