Eriya Doi
I was in the midst of deep grieving and suffering that disabled me from working in the church. But I decided to enroll in seminary to study the Word of God on my path to recovery and making a fresh start. One blessing I have received while studying at CBS was learning what it means to live a gospel-centered life, through God’s Word and fellowship with teachers and classmates. Once I graduate I will be planting a church in Nagoya, as well as continue to lead in a ministry called Connect that seeks to bless youth ministry in local churches.
Prayer Request: that I will be a faithful and humble servant |

I came to CBS to study the Bible and theology in order to serve the church and evangelical missions, and to prepare for future ministry. I have been blessed by this opportunity to study the Bible and theology from professors who constantly pointed me to the gospel of Jesus Christ, encouraging and praying for me to live the gospel. After graduation, I will pastor a Japanese church in London, England and to serve as a missionary for Japanese people in the U.K. Prayer Request: that I will always look to Christ, and walk by the grace of the gospel, both in ministry and in relationship with my wife. |

Kyousei Kanbe I came to study at CBS to learn more about the gospel and the bible. I have been so blessed to be taught to live the gospel, not just to have a knowledge of it.. After graduation I plan to prepare to serve as an overseas missionary with my wife Ayumi.
Prayer Request: That the Lord would guide my every step as I serve at my home church in Kansai and continue preparations to become a missionary. |

I had been desiring for a way to focus on studying the Scriptures and entering CBS opened up as a way for me to do that. I am so thankful for how my time at CBS has given me a richer view of Christ throughout Scripture. After graduation I plan to serve as an overseas missionary with my husband Kyousei.
Prayer Request: Pray that my church may continue to grow in knowledge of the gospel, live the gospel, and proclaim the gospel. |

I was interested in studying at CBS in order to study the bible more in depth. One of the biggest blessings from my time in seminary has been learning more about who God is and who I am in Him. After graduation I will be primarily working for an organization called Life Hope Network, a crisis pregnancy care and post-abortion counseling center.
Prayer Request: that I may be faithful to share the love with Christ with those I minister to |

I came to study at CBS to know the purpose of believing in God. One of the greatest blessings of studying at CBS has been learning how great a gift it is that I have life in God and am allowed to live for Him. After graduation I hope to be someone who builds community through serving in my church and society. Prayer Request: May the Lord who works through me be glorified

I chose to study at CBS because I wanted to learn a correct Christian worldview and about how to interpret the bible. During my time in seminary I have been blessed to relearn the beauty of the gospel and what it means to live with the gospel at the center. After graduation I will continue to serve my church, and as a church officer in the future, in order to build up the body of Christ.
Prayer Request: that I may live a life centered on the gospel, seeking to glorify God in all things |
