Deeper & Further Campaign Update

For the past twenty years, Christ Bible Institute (CBI) has taken the gospel deeper into the hearts of Japanese people and further to the uttermost parts of Japan. Central to this effort has been the CBI building, located only five minutes from Nagoya Station and less than three hours from over 50% of the Japanese population.

CBI is seeking to raise $380,000 to optimize our building. By God’s grace we have a matching grant so that any amount you give is doubled. Since launching this campaign two weeks ago, we have received $135,000 in pledges and gifts. That means we only have $55,000 remaining to reach our goal.

Building Renovation Plan

The renovation of our current building will allow us to minister more effectively as we pursue our vision to see the gospel of the glory of Christ cherished and proclaimed throughout Japan.

The proposed renovation will:

optimize building for concurrent meetings, gatherings, and events
renovate classroom and seminary chapel to increase our student capacity
update our meeting spaces in order to serve as a better host to churches and ministries that use our facility regularly

New Year’s Prayer Week

In the hustle and bustle of life in Japan, it is easy to forget that there are powerful spiritual forces at work. The Japanese New Year holiday is one of the most spiritually significant seasons in Japan. For Christians, this is an invitation to unite in prayer and cry out to the living God.

CBI has created a prayer guide and a set of devotionals designed to focus our intercession on the spiritual dynamics at play during the Japanese New Year holiday. We long to see the day when the name of Jesus is cherished and proclaimed all across Japan. We invite you to join us for this focused season of prayer during the week of December 29th-January 4th.
