Deeper & Further: What’s Next?

Throughout 2025, you have heard Christ Bible Institute express a vision and calling to take the gospel deeper and further throughout Japan. You have also prayed and invested along with us in the Deeper & Further Conference, which gathered hundreds of believers from across Japan around the gospel and this calling, and in the renovation of the CBI building to optimize it for ministry. Final building inspections take place this month—we can’t wait to share more soon!

As we march into a new decade of ministry, we are excited to pursue this calling further, and we are so grateful for your partnership and prayer.

By God’s grace, we have several exciting ministry projects in development that will help take the gospel deeper and further throughout Japan. During this season of year-end giving, we invite you to consider partnering in these endeavors as we pursue them for the glory of God, the strengthening of the Japanese church, and the joy of the Japanese people.

New Deeper & Further Ministry Projects

Strengthening families with the gospel. We plan to translate and publish Parenting by Paul Tripp, along with three gospel-focused children’s books, in an effort to come alongside parents as they strive to pass the gospel to the next generation.
Enhancing the CBI library. To optimize the library’s usefulness to both students and local pastors, we intend to implement a reliable library software system and bring on a part-time staff member dedicated to the library.
Hosting a church revitalization conference. We aim to host a conference for 50–100 pastors, providing a forum for Japanese pastors to define what church revitalization looks like in Japan and spur each other on to pursue this calling.
Developing our translation capability. We will develop and implement a whole new approach to translating CBI Media articles by simultaneously training AI models for better-quality translation and cultivating translators who are prepared to use these tools.

Campaign Need

The total cost for these four projects comes out to $199,941:

$92,010 for the “strengthening families with the gospel” project. By God’s grace, we have already received a 1:1 matching grant for this effort!
$25,000 for the library enhancement project.
$30,000 for the church revitalization conference project.
$52,931 for the translation development project.
