Vision and Mission
The vision of Christ Bible Seminary is to see the gospel of the glory of Christ cherished and proclaimed throughout Japan.
In 2 Cor 4:4 Paul says that “the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.” The world around us is a battlefield in which Satan is seeking to prevent people from acknowledging the good news of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to see this gospel of Christ both cherished and proclaimed—both embraced and expounded—throughout this great nation of Japan in order that Jesus’ glory would be recognized and worshiped.
The mission of Christ Bible Seminary is to equip Christians in Japan for the work of gospel ministry.
If our vision is that which we desire to see happen, our mission is what we will do to make that vision a reality. In Eph 4:12 Paul says that God provides teachers “to equip the saints for the work of ministry.” As an educational institution our mission is to equip Christians in Japan to minister the gospel in such a way that others might come to cherish and proclaim the good news of Jesus as well. Our mission is therefore not simply to transfer information to students but to initiate a movement that will ripple throughout Japan as the gospel goes forth with power, all for the glory of God.
